Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Terminal 2 will be inaugurated on June 6 by President Rodrigo Duterte himself.
Dubbed as the world’s first resort airport, Terminal 2 is set to serve local and international passengers traveling to or from Cebu two weeks ahead of schedule.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) posted on Facebook a sneak peek of what the new MCIA terminal looks like from the outside earlier in March, while updating the public about how the terminal was undergoing Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) program. ORAT covers intensive testing of the terminal’s information technology and airport systems, airport facilities, and airport staff readiness, among others.
